Welcome to this photo archive. The photos herein were submitted by several different people and families. Thank you to all who have contributed.

Mrs. Rita Hoying in particular submitted many photos and their accompanying information. Her son, Rev. Fr. David Hoying, painstakingly scanned over 50 photos in this effort. Mrs. Rita Hoying is the editors' second cousin once removed, and Fr. David Hoying is our third cousin. The editors are especially grateful for their effort. Mrs. Rita Hoying has also contributed valuable genealogical information throughout this site.

Halsema family on porch in San Antonio, FL and it looks like there is a small girl on it. Granddaughter or neighbor??? Best guess here by Paul and Doug Halsema: Bottom row right to left: Girl perhaps a daughter of Justus who is standing behind her, John Francis Halsema, Joseph Maria Halsema, Anthony Lambert Halsema. Top Right: Justus Selestine Halsema, Henry Andrew Halsema, Lanbertus Maria Halsema, Top left corner don't know. We estimate this photo taken about 1908 as John appears to be 6 or 7 years of age. Lambertus and his first wife Mary Margaret Axe. She died in 1883, so the photo must be at least that old. They were married in 1870 when Lambertus would have been 32. He does not look much older in this photo than 32. She went by the name Margaret, and she is the one who taught Lambertus English. In 1870 she would have been 28. Doug Halsema has an original.
